Under the Influence
Once again it’s time for Monday’s Music Moves Me
It’s free choice week here at Monday’s Music Moves Me. I would be remiss if I didn’t do a tribute post for Burt Bacharach. My sister was a big fan of his work, so I am also making this an ‘Under the Influence’ post.
As a young girl, I shared a room with my sister who was 11 years older. My sister loved playing the piano and she took a liking to Burt’s work. As such, I was subjected to his music as I was ‘much too young’ to have formed an opinion on music. I am grateful that my sister ‘forced’ me to listen to her favorites.

He was a composer for our time...
ReplyDeleteWhat a catalog this man left. I love all of these! (The lyrics of Wishing and Hoping are dated, but he or Hal David aren't to blame - it was a product of those times).
ReplyDeleteJust great set of songs from an amazingly, talented man
