March Battle Results
How’s everyone doing today? So glad that you have taken the time to stop in for a look-see on the turnout of this battle.
But first - a little update on me.
I want to thank everyone for your continued thoughts and prayers. I feel that it has definitely made a difference.
The biopsies went well - aside from being covered in bruises and my having to intimidate a newbie lab tech. I promise, I’m one of the nicest patients you’ll ever meet, but that poor little girl was literally shaking in her shoes.
We’ll start with the good news - Looks like I have a valid excuse to get out of jury duty this summer. The county wanted me available from May 1 through August 31.
The not so good news - My cancer has returned for a 3rd visit. This time it has metastasized in my lung and tailbone.
The semi-good news - I will be doing immunotherapy and that means I will be doing my treatments from home, unless we don’t see any progress - then an alternative treatment is in place. As I have never done this type of treatment before, I have no idea how I’m going to be feeling, so I’m trying to schedule as many posts in advance as I can.
Today (March 15) I’m back at the hospital having a port put in my chest.
Okay, So how did this battle shake out?
For a hot minute, I thought it was going to be a shut out, but then the underdog contestant managed to score a vote!
Here are the results:
Natalie Cole with 5 votes
Tonic Sol-fa with 1 vote
Singing us out is our winner …
Be sure to come back on the First for another battle. I haven’t got that one figured out yet, so it will be a surprise to us all.
You've really been going through an ordeal. Good that you are keeping a sense of humor about it. I've sent a prayer for your situation.
ReplyDeleteI'd been surprised if Natalie hadn't won.

Mary,
ReplyDeleteI hope the at home treatments work beautifully for you. This could actually be good for you if it goes well. You don't have to worry about being out in traffic or around potential sick people and after each treatment retreat easily to the comfort of your bed straight away if you need to. I will continue to keep you in my prayers, darlin'! They say God won't give us more than we can bear. All I can say is, you must be one tough cookie!
Thanks for sharing the outcome. Sending lots of love and prayers your way, good friend! XO
Being able to be treated at home is good news and your friends and blog readers will be cheering you on every step of the way. Sending good thoughts today to you.

ReplyDeleteI'm pleased to learn you didn't have a BOTB shutout. That would be a bummer.

Wow! That's unbelievable that they'd presume to be able to keep you on "hold" for that long.
I recently removed myself from the voter registration system to make certain I don't get called for jury duty again. (And, heck, here where I live, they only call you in for a single day... unless you get stuck on a jury on that particular day.)
[Link> Inexpensive Cancer Remedy HERE I keep telling people about this and people keep ignoring me. Why? Because I'm NOT Dr. Fraudci.
