Weekly Song Challenge, Week 30

Time for the Weekly Song Challenge!

How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes.

You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.

Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..

This Week’s Song Challenge:

  1. A Song with a type of beverage in the title - Tequila - The Champs

  2. A Song with a Fruit in the title - Cherry Bomb - John Cougar Mellancamp

  3. A Song with a Flower in the title - Build Me Up Buttercup - The Foundations

I’ve decided to go with a simplified linky tool to make it easier for others to get to your blog posts. You are also most welcome to post in the comments as well.

  1. Mary,

Nice song set! I never can remember the name of the instrumental "Tequila" but when I hear it I know it right away. I'm not sure how they came up with that as the song title. It's a great arrangement, though. John Cougar Mellencamp was smokin' hot in the 80s with lots of air time or so it seems which got me curious to see what's new and learned he's working on a new album. "Build Me Up Buttercup" always makes me feel cheery. Have a songsational day, my friend!

  3. Love Tequila! Great song and I know the other 2 as well including the John Mellancamp song. I do love the Buttercup song which I totally forgot about.
