Rory’s Song Challenge: Series 1, Game 4
Last week, John over at Sound of One Hand Typing introduced me to another weekly Song Challenge. This one is hosted by Rory aka aguycalledbloke. I didn’t put up an actual post last week with the challenge because it was late at night and I was dead tired. I did, however, join in the comments with my selections.
This week - I’m a little more awake and prepared (as prepared as one can be with topics not provided in advance). As many of you know, I simply cannot stay away from a musical challenge. (okay, there is one that I walked away from… but that was because the host is/was rather condescending and I just don’t time for that kind of negativity in my life)
So let me formally introduce you to Rory’s Song Challenge!
It appears we are on week 4, so we’re not too far behind the others (YAY!)
For this week, Rory has issued the following 5 topics:
A song featuring one of your favourited colours:
My all time favorite color is Purple…
My song choice is: Purple Haze by Jimi Hendrix
A song that makes you think about life:
This particular song has got me through some rough moments in life. Pay attention to the lyrics. It’s about not giving up (at least that’s the meaning I get from it)
My song choice: Walk by Foo Fighters
One of your favourited song titles from the 70’s:
Too many to choose from! Unfortunately, we lost Robbie Steinhardt from the band Kansas this week, so my song choice is Carry on My Wayward Son by Kansas
A great song for cooking with:
Interesting topic. I thought about going with Tennessee Whiskey, but ultimately have decided to use this song: Scarborough Fair by Simon and Garfunkel.
The first song you danced to as a twenty something in love:
Love? Probably only Puppy Love or more likely Lust. or Deeply in Like.
My song choice is: Stuck on You by Lionel Richie
So how did I do? What songs would you choose for this challenge? Tell me all about it!
Those are excellent choices!
