Weekly Song Challenge, Week 22
Time for the Weekly Song Challenge!
How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes.
You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.
Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..
This Week’s Song Challenge:
A TV Theme Song: Bonanza (1959 - 1973)
A song used in a movie: Mrs Robinson (The Graduate - 1967)
A song from a Broadway Musical: Ease On Down The Road (The Wiz)
I’ve decided to go with a simplified linky tool to make it easier for others to get to your blog posts. You are also most welcome to post in the comments as well.
See you all again next week!
1. "Making Our Dreams Come True"--by Cyndi Grecco, theme song for Laverne and Shirley
ReplyDelete2. "Raindrops Keep Failing on My Head" by B.J. Thomas, from Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid
3. "Guv'ment" by Roger Miller, from Big River
Sorry I screwed up the Linky... Good picks!
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteSorry, I'm taking a little breathier this week. I hope to post a Road Trip update once a month or every other week on Wednesdays. At those times, I will incorporate WSC into the content. I need to relax a bit.
What would I have used this week? Hmmm....TV Show - "Love Boat", Song in a movie (same as song title) "Bird On A Wire", and a Broadway musical song, I'm not sure since I'm not at all familiar with any but the musical Cats comes to mind so I'd probably go with something from that show. Have a good week, my dear!
A TV Theme Song: “Family Affair” by Frank DeVol
ReplyDeleteA song used in a movie: “Light of Day” by Joan Jett and The Blackhearts
A song from a Broadway Musical: “Luck Be A Lady” from Guys and Dolls
I love your picks especially Family Affair!
DeleteThanks, Birgit
DeleteI tried to enter yesterday but it wouldn't let me. I love Bonanza and the words which are hilarious. They sang this at the very end of their first show which starred Yvonne DeCarlo. I almost went with Mrs. Robinson which is a famous song from this movie. The Wiz is almost a forgotten musical but love your choice.
