Weekly Song Challenge, Week 18

Time for the Weekly Song Challenge!

How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes.

You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.

Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..

This Week’s Song Challenge:

  1. A Song with Mother in the title: Sylvia’s Mother by Dr Hook

  2. A Song with Sister in the title: Sweet Little Sister by Skid Row

  3. A Song with Woman or Women in the title: Redneck Woman by Gretchen Wilson

I’ve decided to go with a simplified linky tool to make it easier for others to get to your blog posts. You are also most welcome to post in the comments as well.

See you all again next week!

  1. Mary,

I thought briefly about using Dr. Hook's song but I decided to look for new-to-me tunes with the exception of my 3rd pick. Thanks for hosting the song challenge, my friend. Have songsational week!

  2. 1. "Mother" by the Police (although this song would be a HORRIBLE ode to mothers for Mother's Day!)
    2. "Sister Golden Hair" by America
    3. "Woman" by John Lennon
Extra credit: A song with Grandma or Grandmother in the title: "Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer" by Elmo and Patsy

  3. These are good but I am not one for the second song. I am not a country gal but I do like Gretchen and this song
