Weekly Song Challenge, Week 5
Did you have fun last week with the challenge? Let’s do it again!
How it works:
Each week, I will provide a list of 3 topics or themes. You come up with 1 song for each of the 3 themes.
Now, I know several of you like to plan ahead, so I’ve got a page prepared where you can find the upcoming themes..
This Week’s Song Challenge:
A Feeling: Don’t Worry Be Happy by Bobby McFerrin
A Fruit: Peaches by Presidents of the United States
A Vegetable: Green Onions by Book T & the MGs
So what say you? Does this sound like a fun game? I hope you’ll join me. Post your links in the comments below, and I look forward to having you join me again next week!
Mary,
ReplyDeleteBobby McFerrin's song always makes me happy when I hear it. Anyone who doesn't smile when this song plays has a real problem. "Peaches" although I know the song title, not the group, I never listened to the song before now. Booker T & the MGs "Green Onions" is an oldie but a goodie! Thanks for hosting the music fun, my friend!
Curious as a Cathy
I was going to use "Green Onions," but something told me to use something else. Great selections!
ReplyDeleteThese are great and love the 2 videos. Seeing Robin Williams here made me feel a bit sad all things considered but it is a great song to use...simple but effective. I would chhose "Get Happy" by Judy Garland from the musical Summer Stock with Gene Kelly. That number is deservedly famous. 2. For Fruits I choose The lady in the tutti fruiti Hat sung by Carmen Miranda with an out of this world musical number. There is a sexual subliminal message the director passed through the censors since the Breen Office had no clue. The 3rd one I chose the Mashed Potato song because that is all that popped into my head. I think the first name who sang this song is DeeDee
