#4M: Sports
It’s a new month, and we have a new musical conductor. Alana from Ramblin with AM gets to choose our themes this month. Today’s theme is songs that mention sports or songs commonly played at sports events.
I contemplated which direction I wanted to go with this theme. It was a tossup. I think we’ll all find out as I get further into the playlist.
Here’s the playlist that I have come up with:
- Everclear - Volvo Driving Soccer Mom
- Primus - Jerry Was A Race Car Driver
- Billy Currington - Drinkin’ Town With A Football Problem
- Edward Meeker - Take Me Out To The Ballgame (1908)
- Canned Heat - Fried Hockey Boogie
Keeping it short today as I’m still trying to catch up on things from while I was away. Have a great week, everyone!
Today’s post is part of the Monday’s Music Moves Me blog hop, hosted by X-Mas Dolly, and co-hosted by Stacy Uncorked, Curious as a Cathy. , and Ramblin with AM. Be sure to stop by the hosts and visit the other participants. If you have a MUSIC* post, feel free to join in the fun! *sorry non-music posts are not permitted in this blog hop.
I likeyour playlist
ReplyDeleteI only know "Take Me Out to the Ballgame." Hoping to hear it again soon!

Good set of tunes here! Love that you found a way to include Canned Heat...
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteInteresting song picks. I think they are all new to my ears. Thanks for hitting the 4M dance floor. Take care and boogie on, Sweetie!
Such nice picks. Very cool picks. Thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteThe first two were really fun songs. I wasn't familiar with that Canned Heat song, either. I so enjoyed the 1908 Take Me Out to the Ballgame - I kind of knew the song, but not those extra verses! Cool playlist.
ReplyDeleteInteresting playlist, Mary. We loved the third song😺Extra Pawkisses🐾😽💞
