#AtoZChallenge: C
We’re back again with more fun with the A to Z Challenge.
A quick review of what we’re doing here:
I’ll post 3 to 5 songs with a word that represents the letter of the day. In the comments, you’ll share songs that also use the selected word in either the title or lyrics. Pretty easy, and loads of fun!
Today’s word is “Cry”
From Dictionary.com:
- Cry Me A River - Natalie Cole
- No Woman, No Cry - Bob Marley
- When Doves Cry - Prince
- Let Her Cry - Hootie and the Blowfish
- I Don’t Wanna Cry - Mariah Carey
And those are my Cries for the day. Let’s see what Cry songs you come up with. Your songs can be from any musical genre. Share in the comments.
'Don't Cry for me Argentina' immediately jumped into my head 😂 Also 'Cry little sister' By Gerard McMann from the Lost Boys soundtrack - now there is a song that helped define my teenage years.
ReplyDeleteTasha 💖
Virginia's Parlour - The Manor (Adult concepts - nothing explicit in posts)
Tasha's Thinkings - Vampire Drabbles

DeleteDon't Cry for me Argentina is top of mind and I'm so lonesome I could cry. Probably gives away my age instantly! :)

Delete“Big Girls Don’t Cry” by the Four Seasons
ReplyDeleteBut thanks to everyone else I’ll be hearing Patty LuPone in my head ...she was Broadway’s Elvira, 1,000 times better than Madonna ...
And now I'll have Franki Valli's tune in my head...
DeleteI hate autocorrect...Evita, not Elvira...
ReplyDeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteOther than the song titles already mention, I went to Google for help. I found 'Stop Crying Your Heart Out' by Oasis which I had to listen to but it didn't sound familiar to me. Another new-to-me song I discovered is 'Don't Cry' by Seal. Have a good day A2Zing, my friend. Stay healthy!!
Cathy's Pinup Girl #AtoZChallenge Art Sketch Series ('C')
I will have to check those out as I haven't heard of them either. Thanks for dropping in :)

Thanks, Janet!
DeleteAside from pressure sores that are keeping me from sitting for long periods of time, I'm doing alright. Home Health was to start today, but they had a mixup on their end and now it's supposed to start tomorrow.
The Man who couldn't cry by Johnny Cash.
ReplyDeleteGreat song! Love the man in black...
DeleteElvis with "Crying in the Chapel"
ReplyDeleteMagic Sam (Chicago blues guy), "That's Why I'm Cryin'"

It's a stretch, but ? and the Mysterians, "96 Tears"
Real good set!
Thanks, John!
DeleteYou've got some excellent additions.
I like Camila Cabello's "Crying in the Club."
ReplyDeleteI'll have to give that one a listen as I'm not familiar with it. Thanks for stopping by!
DeleteCrying by Roy Orbison immediately comes to mind. And Cry Little Sister, but the version I know is a cover by Seasons After.
ReplyDeleteI thought about using Roy Orbison for this one, but will definitely consider him for a future post.
DeleteI love the Roy Orbison Crying. And KD Lang. I Cried for you sung by Judy Garland.
