#4M: YouTube Roulette August Edition, Round 2
Welcome back for Monday’s Music Moves Me (aka #4M)
It’s another Free Choice Week! I’m not going to lie. I was going to do an ‘Under the Influence' post, but my head has been buried deep in plotting out my posts for #RocktoberMusicFest2019 and I’m struggling to come up with an influence for this week. Not to worry, YouTube has never let me down :) So, let’s do another round of YouTube Roulette!
- 10cc - The Things We Do For Love
- Ambrosia - How Much I Feel
- Paul Revere & The Raiders - Indian Reservation
- The Doors - Love Her Madly
- Shocking Blue - Venus
- The Mamas & The Papas - California Dreamin’
- Carpenters - We’ve Only Just Begun
- Starland Vocal Band - Afternoon Delight
- America - Sister Golden Hair
- Crosby, Stills, & Nash - Just A Song Before I Go
That was fun, wasn’t it?
Alright now, you’ve heard me tease about #RocktoberMusicFest2019 and now I have the details for you! In case you missed the announcement post - you can find those details HERE I hope that you will join me in this month long event!

Woo Hoo Hey Girlfriend! How was your weekend --- fine I hope! My daughter came in from Missouri to see her Mommy along with my grandson/her son Edward and this time she rented a room at a hotel & we all went swimming and my oldest (she's the youngest) daughter came out with her children too & 2 grandchildren and we all went swimming & had tons of fun! Hopefully I'll have pics to post soon. Anyway, WOW you sure picked a ton of great songs & the era of when I was in highschool I believe. Time to ROCK THE HOUSE as usual when I turn on your pickins'! GREAT JOB! Big hugs!!! Have a great week! HUGS
ReplyDeleteThanks, Marie!
DeleteYou honestly don't want to know about my past week. Let's just recap it as 'I didn't go to jail'.... but the situation is not yet over and there's always the possibility. Thanks for stopping by!
OMG what a great playlist! The Raiders, the Doors and the Carpenters in the same list...
ReplyDeleteThanks, This Roulette game is really a lot of fun to do!
DeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteI love your mix playlists and you came up with great classics but you know it's like daja vu for me because some of your song picks I'm using in future 4M and your RMF posts. :) Great minds, eh? Enjoy what's left of August. The calender is fixing to flip over again. Have a boogietastic week, my friend. PS: Have you heard from Michele since her mother passed?
Hi Cathy
DeleteThe mix playlists are a lot of fun to put together. I'm sure you'll see some of these in my future posts as well.. it just happens :) I have heard from Michele since her mother passed. She's just not quite ready to return to the blogging world. Eventually, she'll get here.
Believe it or not, that's kind of like the playlist Spotify assembled for me this morning. Both tend to figure out your listening preferences, so ours must be really similar. Which I think we already knew. Anyway, great set!
ReplyDeleteThanks, John!
DeleteI saw your post come through my email notifications earlier this morning, but was too lazy to respond at the time - mostly afraid that I'd have a hard time getting to sleep after. And since I already have a difficult time sleeping, I didn't want to take my chances. We do have very similar tastes in music. And I love that you are having as much fun with this roulette type game as I am.
Great playlist for me to listen to as I'm crafting today! Between you and John I'll have some great music going! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Janet!
DeleteSure hope you are able to get a lot done today :)
A great roulette playlist. Very nice. Some classic songs there.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patrick!
DeleteWell, the 60's and 70's seem to have my number today. I'm sitting in my back yard tearing up to the Ambrosia song. I haven't heard many of these in years. I knew all the songs this time, and there are some favs from "back then", especially "Cherokee Nation" and 10cc. Is there some kind of computer in the sky generating late 60's and 70's music for us all? Anyway, I'm glad I'm in my backyard because "Afternoon Delight" is on my hubbie's top 10 "don't you dare play that song anywhere near me" along with anything by Melanie and "Morning After" sung by Maureen McGovern. I'm rambling, so I'll press Publish now.
ReplyDeleteHaHa! I so get it! I have certain friends that I cannot listen to certain songs/artists around. I think the 60s and the 70s are my happy place, and that is where I have needed to be the past week or so.
DeleteGreat playlist and game of roulette! I am going to check out the Rocktober Fest too.

Hi Michelle!
DeleteThanks! This is one of my favorite games to play. I do hope that you join us for the RocktoberMusicFest. It's sure to be a good one!
That was fun especially songs 3, 4, 5, 6. I'll have to check out the Rocktober post.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Cathy!
DeleteI hope that you do check out the Rocktober event. It's sure to be loads of fun!
Great playlist, for the most part. Never liked Afternoon Delight, but the rest are all memorable. This Youtube Roulette is a fun idea!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Debbie!
DeleteIt really is a lot of fun. Just start with a suggested video from YouTube and then let it decide what to play next. Each time the results will be different.
Awesome musical roulette for sure! Thanks for the dance! Hope you're having a great weekend!
