Thank you!
DeleteI have never heard of Cross Canadian Ragweed - but I love their sound. And I've always loved Hootie and the Blowfish. My song of choice for Alice Cooper though is Poison ;)
ReplyDeleteMy song for cry would have the be "Cry Little Sister" - The Lost Boys was a defining moment in my life, birthing my whole vampire obsession, and that song helped!
I always like learning about new groups and new songs. There are so many out there!
DeleteCry Little Sister is a good one! Thanks for stopping in.
I'm sure I know a bunch of songs with crying, I just can't think of any...
ReplyDeleteThe Multicolored Diary
Cry Me a River
DeleteCry To Me
Cryin' In The Rain...
The Box Tops, "Cry Like A Baby." Melissa Manchester, "Don't Cry Out Loud." Prince, "When Doves Cry."
ReplyDeleteExcellent choices! I always forget about Melissa Manchester, which is weird because I used to really like her.
ReplyDeleteCrying by Roy Orbison
ReplyDeleteCrying is good, too! How about Cry Cry Cry by Johnny Cash
DeleteFirst thing in my head - "Cry Me A River" by Justin Timberlake

Justin's Cry Me A River never seems to get enough airplay. Excellent choice!
DeleteMary,
ReplyDeleteDespite the popular 'Big Girls Don't Cry', I think crying is a good thing. It does the soul good to release the heart regardless the cause - happiness or sorrow. I was totally surprised to find all three songs are new-to-me. Cross Canadian Ragweed I hadn't heard of and Hootie & Blowfish I've heard of do doubt from a fellow 4M partner. But the biggest surprise is Alice Copper's song. Why have not heard it before now is beyond me. Excellent choices! Thanks for visiting my A2Z Little Mermaid Carlotta art sketch post, my friend!
The Alice Cooper song was a new to me as well, and you well.. I like sharing my finds!
DeleteI don't know the first one at all but the others I do. I have to give it to Roy Orbison-Crying and Don't Cry for me Argentina.
ReplyDeleteTwo really good 'cry' songs! Thanks, Birgit!
DeleteHootie all the way. What a voice! For some reason Alice Cooper seemed off key. Clear the Clutter to Avoid Burnout
ReplyDelete"Cry" by James Blunt.
ReplyDelete"I Cry" by Westlife.
"yesterday I cried" lyric in "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks.
So much crying (I like Roy Orbinson and KD Lang's version of the song), I had to add some fun in my selection :-)
